Workshop Description: In this two-day workshop students will be introduced to the versatile world of Monoprint Printmaking. Students will follow Zygote Teaching Artist Lisa Schonberg as she teaches them how to use Zygote’s American French Tool Presses, how to mix and modify inks, and how to employ different mark-making techniques to create unique monoprint images. Use stencils, foliage, and textures to develop an individual monoprinting style and finish the day with a newly acquired artistic confidence. This workshop is beginner friendly, but also welcomes seasoned printmakers. By the end of the session participants will learn to be comfortable with using Zygote’s American French Tool presses.
