Workshop Description: Are you ready to become a letterpress artist? In this Letterpress Bootcamp workshop you will learn everything you need to know to use the presses in Zygote’s letterpress studio. Join Letterpress Teaching Artist Wendy Partridge for this two-day intensive bootcamp in which you will learn about the history of letterpress printing, get comfortable with setting both lead and wood type by hand, and get the chance to print using our Vandercook presses. This is the perfect class to take if you are a beginner who wants to gain the necessary skills to use Zygote’s letterpress studio and equipment independently. Over the course of 12 hours you will learn everything you need to know to create letterpress prints at Zygote Press.
